In this volume, Dr. Ronald D. Klein shares with us the invaluable insights to the background and works of selected poets, writers and playwrights within their respective social context and climate. Starting with Goh Sin Tub (b. 1927) who lived through the Japanese Occupation to the post-Independence generation of writers such as Haresh Sharma (b. 1965) and Alvin Pang (b. 1972), the interviews in this volume span Singapore history from the British colonial period to the present day.
